2014 Michelob Ultra Katy 5K

According to the Friends of Katy Trail website, the Michelob Ultra Katy 5K is May 8th strating in Reverchon Park.

Event Day Schedule:

6:30pm Kids Point-5K (half a kilometer)
7:00pm - 5K Run/Walk Begins
7:15pm Katy Picnic Opens

After the 5K, all participants are welcomed in to the Katy Picnic where more than 50 restaurants will be serving free food, live music will be playing and of course there is all the Michelob Ultra you can handle . If you plan to only attend the picnic, you must still register for the race. Race bibs are what get you in to the Katy Picnic.

Parking will be available across the street at the Heritage Auction House building and up the street at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The event begins and ends in Reverchon Park.

Packet pick-up will be at Luke's Locker on Mockingbird from Saturday May 3rd - Wednesday May 7th. Read More >>

Farm & Ranch Day

According to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children website, Farm & Ranch Day is May 17, 2014 starting at 10AM. The annual event was started with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service to celebrate Texas agriculture. This is our 16th annual Farm & Ranch Day. TSRHC patients, families and friends are invited to participate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities focusing on various aspects of Texas agriculture.

Organizations that work closely with the event include the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, the local 4-H Clubs and the Southwest Dairy Museum.

2014 Carry the Load - Dallas Memorial March

According the the Carry The Load website the Dallas Memorial March 2014 will be held Sunday, May 25th - Monday, 26th at Reverchon Park, Dallas.

Start 4:00pm
Finish 12:14pm
Closing Ceremony 12:30pm

It is Carry The Load's vision to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day by connecting Americans to the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel. The Dallas Memorial March provides an opportunity to walk for 20 hours and 14 minutes to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's heroes. You can join in the Memorial March at any time during the 20 hours and walk even for just a few minutes. There is no fee to participate in Carry The Load.
