2nd Annual Warstic Sandlot Charity Ballgame

Warstic Bats will host its 2nd Annual Charity Sandlot Baseball classic featuring the Warstic Woodmen and The Ticket Timbers with proceeds benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.  Owner Ben Jenkins will be at the helm for the Woodmen and along with musician/investor Jack White invite the public and hospital mission supporters to come enjoy an evening of social-style baseball. A patient from the hospital will throw the "ceremonial" first pitch and donations from the evening will benefit the hospital whose mission is to serve all children's orthopedic needs regardless of their ability to pay.

WHEN:  Saturday, April 28, 2018 

5:30 Pre-Game                       

6:00 p.m. – Sandlot Baseball Game Begins

Turtle Creek Fine Arts Festival - April 14 & 15

According to the festival website the Turtle Creek Fine Arts Festival kicks off its inaugural event in Reverchon Park on April 14th and 15th.  Festival Hours are:

Saturday: 10:00AM – 5:00PM
Sunday 11:00AM – 5:00PM

This event will feature up to 125 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters! The Festival will also offer artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, an Emerging Artists Pavilion, a children’s play area, plus festival foods and beverages with healthy alternatives.

The Turtle Creek Fine Arts Festival is organized by the Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces (AFFPS).  The AFFPS partners with more than a dozen other events, along with a board of experts in various artistic disciplines. The festival will uphold the highest standards supporting the arts and offer participating artists the environment to nurture an appreciation for their skills.
