The Dallas Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs along with the Canine Squad will host “Chief on the Beat” Going to the Dogs at Reverchon Park on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Reverchon Park is located at 3505 Maple Ave, Dallas, Texas 75219 and the event will take place from 10:00am to 2:00pm. 

The event is sponsored by the Katy Trail Ice House.

Similar to DPD’s other “Chief on the Beat” Crime Prevention Safety & Health Fairs, this event is an opportunity for the Dallas Police Department and residents of Dallas to interact in a family friendly environment.  Pet owners are invited to bring out their pets for this one of a kind, animal focused “Chief on the Beat.”  Attractions include Dive Team, K9 Unit, Dog Costume Contest and more.  Activities and food are provided to the public free of charge.

17th Farm & Ranch Day

On Saturday, May 07, 2016 at 09:00AM in Reverchon Park bring your family to Farm & Ranch Day!  Started with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service to celebrate Texas agriculture, this year marks the 17th annual Farm & Ranch Day. TSRHC patients, families and friends are invited to participate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities focusing on various aspects of Texas agriculture.

Parking is available in the hospital’s lot at the corner of Maple and Welborn St., in the hospital garages on Welborn and on Turtle Creek Boulevard.)

Organizations that work closely with the event include the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, the local 4-H Clubs and the Dallas Zoo. Read More >>

According the the Carry The Load website the 2016 Dallas Memorial "March" will be held Sunday, May 29th - Monday, 30th at Reverchon Park, Dallas.

It is Carry The Load's vision to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day by connecting Americans to the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel. The Dallas Memorial March provides an opportunity to walk for 20 hours and 16 minutes to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's heroes.  You can join in the Memorial March at any time during the 20 hours and walk even for just a few minutes. There is no fee to participate in Carry The Load.
