This is the 3rd Annual Run for Retrievers 5K and 1M Fun Run. The event helps raise money to benefit DFW Lab Rescue. The organization is non profit 501 (c) 3 organization which operates solely on private donations. Accoring to the event information the average cost per dog is over $600 but you can adopt for only $275. This event helps make up for the difference between the actual cost of the dog and the adoption rate.
