The 2nd annual ONE RUN will be held October 6, 2012 at Reverchon Park beginning at registration at 7 am. Event features a 1K walk, a 5K run along the Katy Trail, a post-run party featuring food, family fun activities, and a high-energy performance by VOCAL TRASH. The event's presenting sponsor is Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
If you didn't know, ONE RUN benefits Cancer Support Community North Texas, the only Texas affiliate of Cancer Support Community, the largest international non-profit dedicated to providing support, education, hope and community to people affected by cancer.
According to their website ONE RUN unites all cancer diagnosis and survivors of cancer under one spectacular event. Race participants and teams representing a chosen diagnosis will be identified during the race in an awe inspiring display of color representing members of the North Texas community facing a cancer diagnosis and the community that supports them.
Also, a further call out to families to come out to the ONE RUN celebration and create a LEGO masterpiece tower with your kids 13 & under. The winning family will receive FREE tickets to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine.
