The Chihuly exhibition of larger than life, breathtaking art glass sculptures at the Dallas Arboretum is in its final days. The exhibit, which has been overwhelmingly popular since its opening, was extended through Dec. 31 as a “holiday gift” to the city. It is spectacular, and a visit to the Arboretum on Monday, Dec. 17, was a treat for the senses and uplifting in many ways. North Texas weather couldn't have been more perfect, with bright sun and crisply, cool air, blue skies and only a light breeze off the lake. Because it’s not peak blooming season at the arboretum, visitors were few and walking the winding pathways was pleasant and easy.
